Dr Shiva Ayyadurai sees no reason for economy to remain shut.

Lies, damn lies, and statistics.
The gov’t should publish the daily figures on all deaths so that comparisons can be made.
Connecting the Dots . . .
The public healthcare system, in the longrun, will not be threatened when the novel Corona virus dies out or becomes harmless in the human body.
The virus will only become harmless in the human body when the immune system does not perceive it as aggressive.
It’s a weak immune system that kills many of those infected by over reacting to the perceived aggressiveness of the virus.
The public healthcare system can educate the people on keeping the immune system healthy and thereby promote preventive medicine.
Keeping the guts healthy is also part of preventive medicine.
Maintain the intestinal flora by taking pre-biotics and probiotics.
Antibiotics will kill all bacteria, good and bad, in the stomach.
It’s necessary to take pre-biotics and probiotics after a course of antibiotics.
Lab tests can tell us vitamin and mineral deficiency levels. Vitamins A, D, calcium and C are important for immune system health.
Check thyroid function.
The human body consists of six trillion cells.
It has 60 trillion bacteria and 380 trillion viruses and some fungi.
Except for surgeries, medical lab work and clinical studies, the public should take back the public healthcare system from BigPharma and the mandated medicine (vaccines) promoted by them.
Vaccines may be preventive. It can’t cure.
Vaccines point the way for the immune system.
The focus should be on doing away with the need, where possible, for vaccines.
The universities, in the wake of the novel Corona virus pandemic, should rethink their medical courses.
Big Pharma has no place in the emerging new medicine.
There’s something to be said for the six systems of medicine in India. The systems have to work with medical labs, clinical studies and surgeries.
The jury is still out on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Wellness therapy is for terminal cases.
The gov’t . . .
The novel Corona virus, by its very nature, will die out when it has nowhere to go.
The virus causes Covid-19, a disease.
What does nowhere to go mean?
It means preventing the virus jumping from those infected and contacts including carriers to others.
The gov’t needs to put the infected and contacts including carriers in quarantine and/or self-isolation.
It’s not the work of the gov’t to ensure the virus has nowhere to go.
That’s the work of the people who have weak immune systems.
Such people can take various measures viz. wearing mask, using hand sanitisers, observing physical distancing (keeping six feet away from the next person in public), and avoiding crowded public places i.e. places where people can’t observe physical distancing.
The work of the gov’t must be on flattening the curve of infections i.e. keep cases of infections at a level which does not overwhelm the public healthcare system.
The onus is on frontliners in the public healthcare system, and frontliners in other sectors of the economy, to protect themselves through some of the same measures the people are expected to follow viz. wearing mask and using hand sanitisers.
The economy can stay open in green zones where there are no infections but there may be carriers.
The gov’t can open the economy in other zones — yellow, orange, red — when the curve of infections has been flattened, even temporarily.
If the curve becomes unstuck, and the number of infections rise again, the gov’t has no choice but virtually close the economy again via movement control order (MCO), enhanced MCO, lockdown, and even curfew.
These measures can be lifted again when the curve of infections has been flattened again.
There may be repeated closures of the economy when the curve of infections becomes unstuck, and the number of infections rise again, thereby threatening the public healthcare system i.e. overwhelming it.

Cabinet would know whether it’s coming or going, no going all over the place, no blabbering this and that, no incoherence a la Mahathir.
