This statement shows the Health Ministry may be clueless on Covid-19 caused by the novel Corona virus.

The Ministry’s statement is just opinion. It’s not backed up by real data based on real science.

What does this mean?

The statement shows that flu cases will be regarded as suspect Covid-19 cases.

Gov’ts may be using novel Corona virus pandemic to get more power, quell dissent.

If gov’ts can’t flatten the curve of infections on Covid-19, caused by the novel Corona virus, it’s not the people’s problem.

The media should ask questions.

For example, are the deaths attributed to Covid-19 really related to the disease caused by the novel Corona virus?

In the interest of transparency and public accountability, the Health Ministry DG should reveal the total number of deaths daily and the breakdown.

Deaths by accidents should be included.

How many people die daily of heart disease, cardiac arrest, cancer, flu, among others?

We don’t want the novel Corona virus pandemic to be used as an excuse not to have Parliament in full session.

The ILI/SARI-based cases in Covid-19 is a good indication on the rate of infection amongst the community and can be used to monitor and plan on the country’s public health strategy.

If the ILI and SARI cases keep increasing, it means the virus is still inside the community. Now we see it’s reducing. If it is reducing that means it is a good indication to plan what our action is for the future.

The following was in a whatsApp group . . .

Medical Opinion by Pluristem Therapeutics Inc., a biotech company based in Haifa/Israel.

Some patients may be at a high risk of death due to respiratory failure, multi-system organ failure, including heart and kidney failure, as a result of the over reaction of the immune system to the perceived aggressiveness — Covid-19 — of the novel Corona virus.

The immune system must be stopped from turning on itself, as commonly happens with critical coronavirus patients.

The body must be stopped from attacking its own organs.

It’s important to suppress or reverse the dangerous over-activation of the immune system that causes death in many coronavirus patients.

Two types of proteins are important: one to reduce inflammation; the other to regulate the immune system.

Tests would be inconclusive if the lab is unable to look for anything specific.

Any lab can confirm this.
