Not one seat for Bersatu — Umno Supreme Council.
It’s a matter of strategy. Umno may want to go for one last hurrah demi bangsa, agama, negara, derma, and plea bargaining to surrender 40 per cent of the loot while retaining 60 per cent.
It will be the END of Umno if it shares seats with any party besides BN.
Umno would want to emerge as the largest party in Parliament. Unfortunately, it can no longer demand the PM’s post as the largest party in Parliament. Those days are gone for good.
If Umno wants to hold the PM’s post again, it would have to win 112 seats.
This is unlikely to happen.
If it wins 110 seats, MCA 2 seats and MIC one seat, MIC on paper can demand the PM’s post or no deal.
MCA can make the same demand if MIC goes along with Umno.
Mahathir realised how the figures can add up. That explains how he became PM for the second time, after being retired 15 years, despite Bersatu winning only 13 seats.
If Anwar Ibrahim had not demanded the PM’s post, PH would still be in Putrajaya.
The reality is that backdoor PM, Muhyiddin Yassin, is in a strong position. Mahathir put him there because the former wanted Bersatu to continue to hold the PM’s post.
Having said that, Mahathir has realised that an All-Malay gov’t in Putrajaya is unsustainable.
The alternative, a multiracial gov’t in Putrajaya, remains anathema to Mahathir. That’s another reason that PH fell in late Feb.
Since Mahathir is out of the picture in Bersatu, he has no choice but try to wrest back the PM’s post from Muhyiddin.
This can happen if Anwar Ibrahim agrees to give way to Shafie Apdal to be PM. DAP and Amanah will concede.
If Anwar continues to insist that he must be PM, he will continue to chew on his YouKnowWhat in Opposition.

This is a compilation of known facts.
The issue is about the PM’s post.
Gov’t sector will not co-operate with multiracial gov’t in Putrajaya, reason why PH gov’t fell in late Feb.
