Putrajaya ignores dying media, the focus on what people saying about elections

Listen to soft instrumental music for 15 to 20 mins before bed to calm the emotions and have a restful night . . .

The Malaysian Media Council is not about better late than never, but a case of too little, too late.

The media is dying.

The gov’t is no longer interested in the media coverage but what the people are saying to each other in glib one liners below the media coverage. It appears that these brief comments below are not based on the story above but what the readers are saying to each other.

Many readers even confess that they don’t read the story above for various reasons.

Elsewhere, most of the long comment pieces in the regular media, for example, are a compilation of known facts by the same old faces who virtually copy paste each other.

These so-called columnists appear to suffer from a great congenital disability i.e. an inability to connect the dots.

Again, “an inability to connect the dots”.

I wouldn’t say “an inability to connect the dots without fear or favour”.

The social media has taken over from the mainstream media and alternative media as it remains open to all. The regular media restricts space, messages and messaging.

Having said that, even the social media is losing its clout when it comes to elections.

The media including the social media and so-called surveys can no longer dictate how the people should vote. Even so, CNN is in overdrive, shrieking, screaming, literally running amok on Trump.

For example, the network plays up the daily 1K deaths from symptoms ALSO related to CV-19. No mention is made of the 8K people dying daily in the US of non-CV-19 causes.

CNN goes to the other extreme when it comes to Joe Biden. Apparently, this man can do no wrong although he has been in public service for 48 years. What can he achieve in four years which he couldn’t do in 48 years?

Biden has had more than his fair share of scandals in 48 years. Yet, not a word appears in CNN, for example.

Patently, the silent majority decides on elections based on one to one messages beamed directly at them. These messages are from influencers who can help control the Narrative.

Trump is good at this.

He continues to maintain the core support he gathered in 2016.

The media ignores the fact that the great White majority are not amused by blacks taking to the streets in Democratic states, rioting, burning and looting just because rogue elements in state police practise double standards in enforcing the SOP.

Trump’s strong law and order message resonates with the people.

Except in some state police to a certain extent, America has done more than any other nation in the history of the world to eliminate institutionalised discrimination in the gov’t sector.

In fact there’s institutionalised discrimination in favour of blacks to address historical grievances stemming from the practice of slavery in the Deep South.

Just look at the disproportionate number of black mayors and in politics and the gov’t sector. Of course, the blacks dominate in sports. Entertainment has more than a fair share of blacks.

The media ignores the fact that the BLM is an insidous attempt by a small group of blacks to seize an even more disproportionate share of power.

The others will not stand by and let the blacks steal the country from them.

America is about the American Dream i.e. the brightest and best leading the way for All.

Brightest and best refers to those with intelligence and energy.

Again, the blacks have been shielded by quotas in politics, gov’t, business and education.

It’s not true the Russians are helping Trump on the messaging. However, it’s probably true that the Russians are monitoring the messaging and know which way the wind is blowing.

Politics is about public perceptions.

The public perception on China, for example, is negative in the US. So, despite CNN’s best anti-Trump efforts, people believe that China is interfering in the US presidential elections. The more that Beijing protests, the more the people are convinced that China is up to no good.
