Agong should let backdoor PM Abah Moo Rotan GO, appoint ANY MP as PM to form Cabinet across the DIVIDE.
This is not a National Unity Gov’t, there will still be an Opposition Leader in Parliament.
If Moo doesn’t quit, he stands automatically dismissed.
PN govt to restrategise after royal rebuff.
PN susun strategi baru lepas gagal dapat perkenan Agong.
If Agong had consented to the Declaration of Emergency, the ringgit will head south sharply, prices of imports would rise, the bottom will fall out of the stock market, FDI would flee, and AirAsia would collapse and implode.
The Malay economy would cease to exist.
The list goes on and on.
My concern is that the gov’t may not have enough money for the Budget. That may be the reason why Moo advised the Agong to consent to the Declaration of Emergency.
The economy was seriously damaged when Moo shut it down to keep the lid on hospitalisation when the virus cases was a ridiculous 165.
165 cases would not overwhelm the public healthcare system.
Having damaged the economy, gov’t revenues are sharply down. Where’s the money for the Budget?
It was grave strategic error to shut down the economy. I wrote that in late Mar this year.
Backdoor PM Abah Moo Rotan, given the power of incumbency, is in a strong position.
No can pluck even a hair from his YouKnowWhat.
He doesn’t have to worry about the no confidence Motion since it was not filed by the Opposition Leader.
The Speaker, by convention, would allot time for Debate if the Motion is filed by the Opposition Leader.
The Budget 2021 can be used as a no confidence Motion but it won’t happen.
Moo has a majority of the MPs with him. So, they will pass the Budget.
Advice . . .
The Agong’s decision to reject Emergency rule proves he does not have to accept the Advice of the PM every time.
There might be Special Circumstances where he can decide to turn down the PM’s advice.
No Constitutional crisis!
No court will go against the head of state.
Under the Constitution, the Agong can withhold consent for the dissolution of Parliament if the PM advises dissolution.
I doubt that anyone has more numbers than backdoor PM Abah Moo Rotan in Parliament.
The Opposition is not an united bloc in Parliament.
Minority gov’t is lawful.
Special circumstances . . .
The pandemic can be cited as the special circumstances for the confidence-and-supply arrangement.
Again, the Federal gov’t problem probably has no money for Budget 2021. So, the Emergency may be to cover up the Budget and keep it under wraps.
Having said that, frogs will be irrelevant if heads of state remain above the fray.
Also, politicians must stop harping on having the numbers or being PM-in-Waiting.
Wait for GE15.
Minority gov’t is lawful.
Mahathir and family of multibillionaires must be forced into exile, never to return, except in a coffin.
The Gen Y will piss on their graves.
Malaysia will not be safe until Mahathir, Anwar Ibrahim, Tengku Razaleigh, Taib, SA and Jeffrey Kitingan are six feet underground.
Law . . .
Our lawyers are not noted for being brilliant.
They still mistake the letter of the law as the sum total of the rule of law and give long, convulated, opinions.
Opinion is not law.
Only the court can declare law.
The Agong can advise backdoor PM Abah Moo Rotan to step down.
If he refuses to step down, the Agong can appoint a new PM.
Moo stands automatically sacked.
He can take the matter to court but nothing will come out of it.
No court will go against the Agong if he appoints a new PM.
The Agong can appoint ANY MP as PM.
I suggest Baru Bian in Sarawak. If he declines, Gobind Singh Deo would make a good PM.
Third choice, Wan Azizah.
This is a historical moment in history. It needs a freak solution which will never come again for another 50 years.
My COMMENT . . .
Since Agong did not accept the Advice of the PM, Moo has no choice but resign to solve the “constitutional” crisis. Having said that, no court will go against the Agong on rejecting Emergency. It’s not justiciable!
PH will support Moo on Budget 2021 if he sacks Azmin Ali and Hamzah.
