Moo all about Melayu First, all-Melayu gov’t.
I agree with longtime Borneo watcher, Joe Fernandez, that if Malaysians want to be united, they should get away from new forms of tribalism and feudalism created by political party memberships.
Voters should not be political party card carrying members. Leave political parties to leaders and their paid staff.
Voters should focus on policies, not personality cults and parties.
Democracy is not about voting once in five years and then going home and sleeping.
Democracy only works if the people participate.
The people should make movements on every issue and lock up as many politicians as possible to keep the public from harm.
Politics is about public perceptions.
All politics is about restructuring the distribution of political power and restructuring the distribution of revenue and resources.
It’s not enough to say that political power is shared at the Federal, state and local levels.
Real political power should reside at the local government level and the three tier level should be based on the democratic bottom up approach, not continue with the top down communist control freak mindset.
The pandemic, for example, will not end until local gov’ts are empowered to eliminate crowding. It’s crowding that creates community transmission and spread.
